Christian Credit-Debt Relief Solutions
Welcome my Christian friend in debt,
Have you come searching for Christian debt solutions to your financial problems? Does your back feel like it’s against the wall? Are creditors tormenting you day and night demanding immediate payment or else they’ve threatened to file suit? Take comfort in the fact you’re not alone.
As our nation struggles to lift itself from a miry pit of financial trouble, more and more consumers, including Christians like you, are spiraling into more debt-and straining to find a source of debt relief to pay it off. As a Christian, you struggle to honor the Biblical principles of financial stewardship. The important fact is financial problems can cause late payments, defaults, repossession of your car or home, foreclosures, and bankruptcy.
If your credit history is blemished, you’ll struggle to get a new credit card, loan, or open a bank account. In some situations, you may even be turned down by a prospective employer for a position you really desire. Landlords will also be wary of renting to you. Unfortunately, you become ensnared in the perpetual cycle where your bad credit prevents you from doing the very things needed to lift you from the trap of debt. The good news is there is a solution to help you get debt relief and break the vicious cycle of credit and debt problems by simply incorporating credit counseling principals God has prescribed.
Whether you’re a Christian with credit problems, need immediate debt relief, or looking for a Christian debt solution to your financial dilemma, I can help you take simple yet effective steps to eliminate and rebuild your credit. Don’t feel bad about your situation, in this tough economy, millions of other respectable hardworking Americans, including your fellow Christians-who continue to receive offers of more credit-are struggling to find a debt relief solution to escape their money troubles. With businesses closing right and left, we are seeing an increase in layoffs, more bankruptcy filings, shrinking paychecks, and disappearing savings-with no end in sight.
On my site, you’ll find Christian solutions to debt relief, tips on what Christian credit and debt counseling should entail, and valuable insight from my own debt relief solutions. The good news is you can put your financial problems behind you with our sovereign Creator’s help and by following sound Christian financial principles regarding credit and debt. While there is light at the end of the tunnel, you must be realistic about the time frame needed to resolve your debt problems. It took you months, probably years to slowly become entrenched in a quagmire of debt, don’t expect immediate results.
Just because you and I are Christian doesn’t mean we’re immune from the same credit consequences as other Americans suffering from financial problems. With time and effort, you can rebuild great credit within two years after you clear up your debt issues, even if you filed for bankruptcy. I know, because I was approved for new credit cards and a car loan shortly after my own bankruptcy. While my own financial problems as a Christian has humbled me, I fight the same battle you do each day trying to abide by the financial principles prescribed by God.
As a fellow Christian who has spent years helping other debtors like you negotiate and eliminate their debts, I am here to offer you hope as well as credit and debt relief solutions and strategies to deal with your creditors and escape the claws of debt.
Most of what I’m going to share with you is nothing new from what’s already out there, but what separates me from other Christian debt relief websites is my own personal insight on showing you how to keep your daily life functioning when you have creditors hounding you or trying to seize your assets. Unfortunately, not all creditors will be understanding of your financial situation and you will need to take proactive steps to preserve you ability to maintain your important assets until you are able to pay off your creditors. In my Christian Credit And Debt Relief Solutions course, I also show you the inside secrets of how to negotiate and settle your debts for pennies on the dollar without paying exorbitant fees for a debt negotiations company to do it for you.
Unfortunately, I’ve worked with many debtors who have consulted with me after losing hundreds and even thousands of dollars to shady debt negotiation companies who took money upfront and never delivered on their debt negotiation services.
If you’re facing a financial emergency where you may be homeless or face the possibility of losing important property or service such as your utilities, you’ll need to address these issues immediately and set aside other non-threatening credit and debt problems until your emergencies are resolved or dealt with. Start by contacting the creditor and asking what options you have to keep your vehicle, home, or other important asset.
Beware of any debt relief solutions a creditor may suggest or try to intimidate you to accept. If you agree to any reduced or delayed payments right now, you could potentially sacrifice or compromise any legal rights you have. It’s best to consult with a reputable Christian attorney before you make or sign any written agreements regarding your debt. If you can’t locate a good Christian attorney who specializes in credit and debt relief solutions, seek the help of any competent attorney.
Here are some common emergency debt situations:
Behind On Your Mortgage Payments
The Bank can start foreclosure proceedings on your home, declared the full amount of the delinquent note due and payable, and sell your home at an auction and evict you from the property.
Delinquent Income Taxes
The IRS isn’t someone you want to mess with. They can seize your valuable assets and almost all of your paycheck without having to go to court.
You Owe Child Support Or Alimony
If you’re unable to pay your child support or alimony obligations, take immediate action to request a court order lowering your obligations.
Your Landlord Is Evicting You
Depending on your state, the entire process can be streamlined to occur within three days. Don’t waste time getting legal help to understand your tenant rights.
You’ve Received A Lawsuit
Once you receive court documents summoning you to court for a delinquent debt, you need to file a legal response within a certain time frame to prevent a creditor from seizing your assets or placing a lien on your property. Seek the advice of a Christian attorney to help you with the lawsuit.
Once your emergency debt issues are under control, the next step to Christian credit and debt relief is to take an honest evaluation of your total debt load. As unpleasant as this step may be, you won’t be able to know which solutions to take until you get an accurate picture of how much you owe.
After you take inventory of your total debt load, you may be surprised to learn the amount you owe could be less than you think. It’s not uncommon for many Christian credit counseling services to find most debtors overestimated the amount of existing debt. If you’re in the unfortunate situation of owing more than you thought, don’t be discouraged. God will help you overcome what seems like an insurmountable amount of debt.
Take your most recent credit card and debt statements and write down the outstanding balances. If you’re like me, you’ve probably ignored or thrown out old bills without opening them. No worries, just contact the creditor’s customer service department to get the current balance.
If you’re lucky enough to get an automated system to access your balance, just retrieve your current balance. If you have to speak with a live customer care representative or a collector, just let them know you’re requesting the current balance so you can evaluate solutions to pay the credit card or debt down. Tell them you’ll contact them as soon as you figure a viable solution to their debts.
Once you determine the total balance of all credit cards and debts, it’s time to figure out what alternative are available to you. In my Christian credit and debt relief solution course, I offer debt solutions based on my own personal experience, years of debt negotiation experience, and experience from negotiating debts for my own clients.
Here are some of the options available to you:
Sit Tight And Do Absolutely Nothing
If you’re in a situation where you receive little or no income and don’t own any tangible asset or property, you may be what’s called “judgment proof”. If you fall into this situation, a creditor who files suit against you and gets a judgment won’t be able to enforce it because you have nothing they can legally seize, that is, providing you know the secrets to living with an outstanding judgment. A creditor can’t throw you in jail for not paying a debt and the law provides exemptions for many of your basic essentials such as clothing, food, furniture, Social Security benefits, unemployment and government subsidies.
After a certain period of time (statute of limitations), the debt will become legally uncollectible under your state’s law. In my Christian Credit and Debt Relief Solutions course, I’ve outlined each state’s individual statute of limitations for reference.
While you may take relief in the fact the creditor cannot legally collect the debt, as a Christian, I believe we must honor the Biblical principles of borrowing. Psalms 37:21 states “The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously”. My take on this verse is a wicked person who has the ability to repay a debt but chooses not to is violating the scriptural law of borrowing compared to a debtor who wants to repay but cannot. While it’s not my goal to debate the interpretation of scripture, the scripture makes it clear that God expects us to honor our vows which include our debts. I believe even though you may be immune from collection procedures, we must do our best to make restitution to our creditors. You’ll have to make your own interpretation of what to believe scripture teaches you. My mission is to teach you how to resolve your debt issues and start rebuilding good credit.
If you don’t fall into the judgment proof category, you will need to figure a way to settle and eliminate your outstanding credit cards and debts. Your first step should be to brainstorm solutions to raise cash fast to pay off your debts. While there are bad deals and scams taking advantage of desperate Christian consumers with credit debt problems, there are some tried and true solutions to raise cash fast for your financial emergencies.
In my “Christian Credit-Debt Relief Solutions” course, I go these solutions in more detail, but here are some of the major ways to raise cash quickly when you’re in a financial dilemma:
